Ethics/Business Conduct Programme:
As part of Northrop Grumman and the nature of our business, our conduct and ethical practices have to be of the highest standard. Northrop Grumman mandates this by running a highly successful programme of ethics and business Conduct, providing each employee with a framework and guidance.
Additionally all employees have an allocated Business Conduct Officer for guidance and support as well as access to a confidential open line.
We recognise that our success as a business is dependent upon our ability to innovate and stay ahead of our competition. It is our policy to promote from within the company whenever possible. All employees are encouraged to Learn & Develop within their current role in preparation for development opportunities in the future.
The Company provides a range of training and Further education opportunities both internally and externally. We promote our company’s success by investing in our most valuable asset – our people.
We also appreciate the need to grow our talent internally and to support this we have introduced apprenticeships as well as undergraduate and graduate programmes

All employees have access to a huge range of on-line training courses and books, covering every business area.

Every year we recruit a small cohort of graduates and undergraduates into our engineering and business areas. Our philosophy with undergraduates is that we wish to provide a valuable work experience at the same time as gaining worthwhile benefits for the Company.
The placement is therefore based upon challenging projects that will be stretching but not overwhelming that will encompass their university knowledge.
Graduates are recognised as talented individuals within the business that we wish to develop and retain. We will therefore provide them with opportunities to develop and grow. They will be given the opportunity to broaden their business knowledge through exposure to other areas of the business outside of their own specialism.
Graduates and undergraduates will work as part of a team and be coached and mentored by more experienced members of staff.
As a business we recognise that we have a part to play within the community to share our knowledge and expertise. To this effect Park Air have an established work experience programme with the local schools providing placements for teenagers interested in a career in engineering or manufacturing.
Provide informative career focused visits to parties of children from local schools. Actively participate in the Young Enterprise programme.
We have established a team of employees who are passionate about ensuring Park Air neutralise its environmental footprint. Some of the initiatives we have introduced include recycling of our waste, encouraging car sharing along with a cycle to work scheme.
The company has been recognised as a gold standard Investor In People employer. This is what some of our staff said about Park Air in the interviews with the assessor:
